Measures of Sexual Attitudes and Behavior of Latino Adults: Questionnaire for Unmarried Latino Men The instrument is provided by CAPS (Center for AIDS Prevention Studies UCSF). "The questionnaires for unmarried Latino women and men were used in a random digit dial telephone survey of 1500 Latinos in ten states in the U.S. These states contain 90% of all Latinos living in the continental U.S. The survey was designed to assess risk for HIV due to sexual behaviors as well as the variables that might predict sexual behaviors such as condom use. The potential predictors measured include homophobia, self-efficacy to use condoms, sexual comfort, sexual coercion, and traditional gender role beliefs." Sexual Risk Behavior

TCU HIV/AIDS Risk Assessment The form is provided by the Institute of Behavioral Research, Texas Christian University. "A variety of multiple-item composites and single-item outcome measures based on the ARA have been used in studies that examine during-treatment and post-treatment changes in particular risk domains. Several factor analytic and configural scoring strategies have served as a basis for index construction models, yielding drug use and sex risk scales with coefficient alphas above .70. The criterion definitions as well as psychometric attributes, however, depend in part on the type of study sample involved; thus, no standardized or normative measures representing "risk levels" have been defined. Predictive validity is indicated by studies showing relationship of single and composite risk measures with cocaine use and psychosocial functioning, as well as changes in risk levels over time." 1. Main male partner was defined as a "lover" or boyfriend and casual partner was defined as anyone other than a main partner. Participants were asked about their sexual behavior within the past 3 months. Peterson, J. L., & Bakeman, R. (2006).
